Watu Kodok Beach is a hidden gem located in the Gunung Kidul Regency of Yogyakarta. The beach is situated in the village of Kemadang, Tanjungsari sub-district, Wonosari, Gunung Kidul.

  1. Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit this beach is in the late afternoon during the weekend. Many young people spend their weekends here, so it's a great opportunity to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
  2. Capture Instagenic Photos: Don't forget to bring your camera to capture stunning photos at Pantai Watu Kodok.
  3. Bring Extra Clothes: If you plan to play in the water, it's advisable to bring extra clothes.

The entrance fee for Watu Kodok is IDR 5,000 per person. If you're planning to camp on the beach, there is an additional fee of IDR 5,000 to IDR 10,000 per person. Toilet facilities are available for campers, but you need to bring your own camping equipment, medicine, and food. Don't forget to bring cash money, since ATM machine quite far from the spot.

 

To reach Watu Kodok from Yogyakarta city center, you can take the Wonosari route via Baron Beach. Once you reach the entrance of Baron Beach, take the right lane towards Indrayanti Beach. You will find signboards directing you to Watu Kodok.

 

Enjoy the beautiful scenery and various activities at Watu Kodok, such as swimming, fishing, sunbathing, exploring local cuisine, playing on the beach, witnessing breathtaking sunsets, and hiking up rocky hills.
